Life is hard. Since I’ve gotten the dreaded disease, leprosy, I’m not allowed to live with my family, and can’t come near healthy people. I spend most of my time with nine other lepers, just trying to stay alive.
One day we heard that Jesus was coming our way. We had heard of His miraculous healings and of course we’d like to be healed. As He approached, we all began shouting, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” He told us to go show ourselves to the priests. It was only as we were on our way to the temple that we looked at each other and ourselves,, and to our joy, we were restored; our leprosy was gone.
The others continued on their way to the temple; but, I wanted to thank Jesus. When I caught up with Jesus and His disciples, I fell at His feet thanking and praising Him. He asked about the others; and seemed disappointed that I was the only one who returned to give Him thanks. Nevertheless, He told me that my faith had made me well.
