“I have good news for you,” said the angel to Mary. “You’re going to have a baby!” “How would that be possible?” Mary replied. “I’m not even married.” “This will be a special baby,” the angel continued. “This will be God’s Son, and you are to name Him Jesus.”
But, before the birth of Jesus, Joseph said, “We need to go from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census.” The trip took several days and when they arrived in Bethlehem there were no rooms available. As a result, Baby Jesus was born in a makeshift crib in a stable. [Bible: Luke 1:26-38; 2:1-7]
