While the Samaritan woman rushed back to the people of the village to tell them about this Man that told her everything she ever did, Jesus explained to His disciples that there were many people that needed spiritual food. The woman, well aware of the role of women in their culture, was careful to ask “Could this be the Messiah?” A large number of people went to see for themselves and many believed.
