When David and his men returned to Ziklag they found it destroyed by fire. All the wives and sons and daughters and animals were missing. David’s men were furious and there was talk of stoning David. But, David went to the Lord in prayer; and he asked, “Should I pursue the raiding party and if yes, will I overtake them?” God answered “Yes” to both questions. “And you will succeed in the rescue,” God said.
