Zechariah repeated words he received from God, regarding the future. Jerusalem would again be destroyed; but, a remnant would be spared. Jesus continued to teach of a destruction (Matthew 24) both within a generation (lifetime) and our present age (dispensation). The first occurred in A.D. 70 when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem; the latter will occur when God determines. In both cases, God’s church prevails.
