When Paul arrived in Corinth, he met a Jew named Aquila, who was a tentmaker by trade. Since, Paul had a background in tent making, he worked with Aquila during the week and taught in the synagogue on the Sabbath. When Silas and Timothy arrived he devoted full time to teaching God’s word. As in other cities, opposition arose from some of the Jews. Paul was prepared to take God’s word to the Gentiles; but God assured him that he would not be harmed and that there were many in Corinth that wanted a spiritual rebirth. Paul continued in Corinth for a year and a half. [Reflection is based on the Bible Reference – Acts 18:1-11]
