Word quickly spread among the Israelites that Moses, the adopted son of Pharaoh’s daughter killed an Egyptian that was beating an Israelite man. When this news reached the ears of Pharaoh, he plotted to have Moses killed; but God had plans for Moses.
Led by the Spirit of God, Moses traveled to the land of Midian, where he met the family of Jethro, a priest of Midian. Moses married one of Jethro’s daughters and became accustomed to living and working in an environment much different than the royal court of Pharaoh.
