“My name is Zerubbabel; I’m the grandson of Jehoiachin, former king of Judah. King Cyrus appointed me to be the Governor of Judah and assigned me the task of rebuilding God’s house of worship. It took almost five months for our company of about fifty thousand people to travel nearly a thousand miles by the caravan route. In the seventh month of our release, after our company had settled in their towns, we came together, in Jerusalem, to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles and offer sacrifices to God.
