As a child, Esau loved the adventure of roaming, exploring and hunting. His father, Isaac shared these same interests; and, often they would go hunting together. As Esau grew older, he would frequently go hunting on his own; but, when he returned, his father would love to hear all about the outing.
Isaac loved both of his sons, Esau and Jacob; and he often saw Jacob in the tent with his mother Rebekah; sometimes cooking; sometimes talking. These activities just didn’t seem as exciting to Isaac as the adventure of outdoors. So, Isaac looked forward to Esau’s returns from his latest adventures.
