God told Moses to position the Israelites near the Red Sea. This would cause the Egyptians to think the Israelites were wandering around in confusion. With the desert to the north and the Red Sea to the east, Pharaoh thought he had the Israelites trapped. With six hundred chariots and horsemen and troops, the Egyptians approached the Israelites. Pharaoh’s heart had become bitter and he couldn’t accept that he had let his slave labor leave Egypt. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – Exodus 14:1-9]
