An excerpt from “iDisciple.org” entitled, “Father Of Compassion” by Dr. Ken Boa, states: “Compassion, also translated as merciful lovingkindness, is that internally-generated initiative that causes God to reach out to the hurting and give them comfort. “Our God is full of compassion,” “Your compassion is great,” and “The Lord . . . has compassion on all he has made,” declared the psalmists (Psa. 116:5; 119:156; 145:9). But “father of” has another implication. Like all modern inventors who owe their heritage to Thomas Edison, God wants there to be many more like him who extend compassion to others. Paul says that God comforts us so that we may comfort others.” This article may be viewed at: Father of Compassion - iDisciple [Reflection is based on the Bible Reference – 2 Corinthians 1:3]
