Eve was created by God with love. He loved Adam and He loved Eve, equally. While God wanted Eve to love Him and Adam, she, like Adam, was created with the ability to choose; to love or reject God and or Adam.
Every person is born with the ability to choose. Each day, many choices are made. God wants us to choose to love Him and other people. The choice is for us to decide.
The first day of Eve’s life was filled with wonder and amazement. She looked around and there was beauty everywhere. There were trees and flowers and berries and vegetables. There were birds and animals; and everything was so peaceful. What a wonderful place!
Standing next to Eve was God. He informed her that this would be her home; and that she could eat of the fruit of any of the trees except the tree in the middle of the garden, which He said was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. He warned her that if she or the person He was going to introduce her to, ate of the fruit of that tree, it would result in death. Then He introduced her to Adam, and explained that together they were to take care of the garden; and again warned them not to eat of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden.
Life for Adam and Eve was good. They worked in the garden and walked and talked with God. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – Genesis 2:21-24]
