God, through Moses, confronted Pharaoh regarding his unwillingness to obey God and let the Israelites leave Egypt to worship Him. Pharaoh was told that Egypt would experience a hailstorm worse than any that Egypt had ever seen. The storm and hail were so destructive that Pharaoh acknowledged his sin and asked Moses to pray to God to stop the storm and he would let the Israelites go. But when the storm stopped, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and he refused to let the Israelites go. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – Exodus 9:13-35]
