Seems like David spent a large part of his life being chased by someone. For years it was King Saul, now it’s his son Absalom. By leaving Jerusalem, David avoided a battle in the city where lives and property would be lost. David was informed that his chief counselor, Ahithophel, was among the conspirators, with Absalom. David prayed to God that He would turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – 2 Samuel 15:13-31]
