An excerpt from “Desiring God.org” entitled, “Be Kind To One Another” by John Piper, states: “As I have pondered these verses [Ephesians 4:31-5:2] it seems to me that they tell us five things about Christian kindness:
- the extent of Christian kindness,
- the depth of Christian kindness,
- the pattern of Christian kindness,
- the instrument of Christian kindness, and
- the source of Christian kindness.
Let's look at these one at a time. And as we do let's pray that the Spirit of God would honor his Word by causing us to be changed by it.” This article continues and may be viewed at: Be Kind to One Another | Desiring God [Reflection is based on the Bible Reference – Ephesians 4:32]
Application: “I don’t know when Got wants me to be nice. I mess that up all the time. But I know when God wants me to seek to love everything and everyone. I know when God wants me to be kind. It’s right now, and it’s always.” [Source: https://www.ocregister.com/2015/03/19/being-christian-doesnt-always-mean-being-nice-but-being-kind-is-another-story by Rev. Application: “Friends are easy to love, but we are called to be a friend to the friendless. Kindness is selfless, compassionate, and merciful; its greatest power revealed in practice to our enemies and amongst the least of these. Love your neighbor; show kindness to EVERYONE.” [Source: What Does Biblical Kindness Look Like? - Geneva College, a Christian College in Pennsylvania (PA) by Olivia Forton]
