Asa became king of Judah in the twentieth year of Jeroboam’s reign in Israel (910 BC). Asa was obedient to God. He expelled the prostitutes from the land and destroyed the idols. He removed his grandmother from her position as Queen because she made repulsive images for the worship of Asherah. [Reflection based on the Bible Reference – 1 Kings 15:9-14]
