“Jesus, my servant is in terrible pain and cannot walk, said the Roman Captain. Without hesitating, Jesus said, “I’ll come and heal him.” “Oh, no,” said the Captain. “I don’t want to put you to all that trouble. Just give the order and my servant will be fine. You see, I’m a man that takes orders and I give orders. I say to one soldier, ‘Go,’ and he goes; to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Hearing this, Jesus was amazed and said to those following Him, “I have not found anyone in Israel with so great a faith!” To the Captain he said, “Go! As you have believed, let it be done for you.” His servant was cured at that very moment. [Bible: Matthew 8:5-13]
