Within the Roman military apparatus I’m called a Centurion, which means I command a force of 100 soldiers. I obey the orders of my superior officer as do the men who report to me. Recently, my servant suffered a terrible illness, which left him paralyzed and in severe pain.
I explained his to Jesus and He asked me if He should come and heal my servant. I was overwhelmed with His willingness; but, my servant and I are only two individuals and there are so many others that need Jesus; so I said to Him if He would but simply say a word, my servant would be healed.
First, Jesus turned to bystanders and warned them that there would come a day that they would be judged for their unbelief and then He turned to me and said, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” [Story based on Bible Reference – Matthew 8:5-13]
