Interested in Donating to Backpacks of Hope?
• We take donations at any time. Donated goods should be new or like new. If you wouldn’t give it to a child you love, then please don’t donate it for an at-risk child.
• We can use items for newborns – teens: backpacks, PJs, flashlights, toiletries, stuffed animals, and blankets. We also accept donations of books, coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, underwear, socks, small games and toys, etc. We love handmade items! We also have monthly donation requests (see below).
• We have several drop-off locations or contact us on FB or at ourfathershope@hotmail.com. In Mechanicsburg, bins can be found at Planted in Play, Finished Effects Hair Salon, West Shore Evangelical Free Church, The Cracked Pot, Thrivent Financial, and Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Youth Center. In Dillsburg donations can be made at The Baltimore Street State Farm Office. In Lebanon County we collect items at Ono United Methodist Church.
Monthly donation requests:
January- Pajamas, Sizes NB - Teens Flashlights
February- underwear and undershirts, Sizes NB – Teens, Bibs and Onesies
March- Socks, Sizes NB - Teens
April- Books for any age
May- Coloring Books (child or adult) Crayons, Markers, and Colored Pencils
June- Small games and toys for all ages
July- Hair accessories,Toiletries for all ages
August- School supplies for all ages
September- Duffel bags, Diaper Bags, and Backpacks for all ages, New or “like new”
October- Blankets (no larger than 5’X6’)
November- Toiletries for all ages
December- Hats, Gloves, and Scarves, Sizes NB-Teens, Stuffed animals, New or “like new”
