Nearly seven-hundred years before John the Baptist was born, Isaiah the prophet wrote about a person in the desert that would prepare the way for the Messiah. Now, the Jewish people hear a man along the Jordan River, dressed in clothing made from camel’s hair, shouting, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near; and he continues by saying, “There is One coming after me that is greater than me. I wouldn’t even be worthy of unfastening his sandals. He will fill you with God’s Spirit.” [Reflection is based on the Bible Reference – Luke 3:1-6]
