Jesus was teaching, on a Sunday morning, in the Temple, when He observed a man with a paralyzed right hand. The Pharisees were aware of the man with the paralyzed hand and they were watching to see if Jesus would heal the man. In this manner they would be able to charge Jesus with violating Jewish law.
Jesus asked, “What man among you, if you had a sheep that fell into a pit on Sunday, wouldn’t lift the sheep out of the pit? A man is worth more than a sheep, so it is lawful to do good on Sunday.” [Bible: Matthew 12:9-13]
