GOD’S WORLD
A shroud of fog from waters deep
Obscured the sandy shore
The waves receded eerily
And thrusted forth no more
A clammy mantel it produced
But would not linger long
As piercing sun light broke the clouds
To reflect a noiseless dawn
The sleeping woodlands began to wake
A chill felt all around
It faded quickly in the morn
As sunshine warmed the ground
The shadows started to withdraw
The birds began to sing
To welcome in the coming day
As many soon took wing
They flitted gracefully to and fro
Through a patchy gentle mist
As flowers lifted up their heads
To receive a sunshine kiss
That a wonderful world or Lord God made
So precious so serene
For all his creatures to enjoy
Awake or in a dream
Beneath a piercing azure sky
A gently wafting breeze
The stunning picture He lays out
Should bring us to our knees
Be thankful we can see these things
Each day when we awake
And never take for granted
The world our God has made
