DISCIPLINE
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
When in your lifetime have you enjoyed discipline? Probably never, but take a moment and recall those tough, despairing times in your life. Times you thought would never end (maybe you’re going through one now?) and honestly reflect on what God did in, and for you, during that time.
Do you have cause to say thank you Father (Abba) for that discipline? It may still be hard to say but given time, and allowing God’s Sprit to work, you will come to see it clearly. This can only happen if you let go of the bad, and reflect on the good from the lesson God gave you. Be thankful you know Him and that he loves you.
Abba, thank you for loving me,
Through each and every day.
Help me to be thankful,
And look to you and pray.
